Tan HanJin “Raw Jazz” Pre-concert and Music album Interview

Greetings everyone,

A new Hong Kong based Singaporean
music producer and singer songwriter
Tan Han Jin will be coming in Singapore
to launch his “Raw Jazz” concert and
debut jazz album on 27 Nov 09.

For those in Singapore for this
period of time, do catch him live
in Singapore!

I was fortunate enough to do a
overseas video music interview
with him. How did this interview
made possible?

It all started when Chingmei (a fellow Singaporean
music blogger and website owner – ( http://www.acappella-sounds.com/ )
e-mailed me the event poster of ”Raw Jazz”
music recital by Han Jin. 

Looking at the event, I was surprised to
find that Tan Han Jin was a sought after
Singaporean music producer and
song-writer who had produced music albums
and songs for famous Hong Kong
Mandarin pop singers like
Jacky Cheung, Eason Chan and Leon Lai.

So I decided to do a bit of write-up on him

Then I contacted him on getting an interview.
Interestingly he wanted to do a video interview
in Hong Kong first when I mentioned to do an
music interview with him when he is in Singapore.

He did the video recording on his side in
Hong Kong while I was the one who gave him
the questions via email.

The questions were focused on 
promoting his concert and his new
music album.

For a singer like him, I like his
versatile vocal techniques and styles
drawing influences from pop, rock and jazz
music. It’s warm heartening to see such
an open minded musician and singer from
Singapore.

Can’t wait to see him live in Esplanade
recital studio. Hope that I can arrange
another music video interview with him
when he’s in Singapore again.
